Once again the Dutchman recommended another hiking trail, and left a map for me on the table outside on the patio with a note stating it was “a new greenway along an old trail with a bridge”. Good enough. From there in Bellocq I also roughly followed the Ousse river, passing Lac de Massicam, until I hit the tiny village of Bérenx and circled back through the countryside via another tiny village of Ramous and sometimes going completely out of my way trying to avoid major highways and thoroughfares. It was a decent hike of about ten miles, but I’m definitely out of shape…most likely from my overindulgence in wine and sloth.
