Pyrénées Day Trip

Today’s adventure found me in The Pyrénées. We first stopped in the cute little mountain town of Euax-Chaudes before heading up to Vallée d’Ossau to catch the Sagette cable car for fifteen minutes ascending to an altitude of 2000 metres (1.25 miles), eventually reaching the village of Fabrèges which is home to a narrow gauge railroad and the highest in Europe as it snakes around the Pyrénées for an hour. Once landed, we hiked up a mountain to the lake of Artouste. The views were exceptional. I have been wanting to check out the Pyrénées since I moved to France two years ago and they did not disappoint! Stunning!
